We are delighted to invite you to the German-Canadian Conference on Migration & Integration, which is jointly organized by GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences and IMIS – Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies.

The conference will bring together migration scholars from Germany and Canada to discuss findings as well as methodological and conceptual issues associated with research on young (forced) migrants and their families.
The event will cover topics such as:

  • educational biographies in the migration process and integration of newcomers in school systems;
  • the influence of household conditions, family constellations, and local environments on integration processes;
  • refugee-oriented policies; and
  • methods-oriented review of empirical literature in the field.
