Consulting on Digital Behavioral Data
Digital behavioral data is a new focus area of GESIS. Our aim is to support researchers in using this new and genuinely digital data for their work - with individual consulting services, tailored to their needs. In addition, we offer a variety of resources for teaching and self-learning.
Individual consulting on research with digital behavioral data using computational social science methods:
- Collecting digital behavioral data (both "designed data" - e.g. via smartphones, web tracking, data donations, and "web data" - e.g. social media data, data of other platforms via APIs or crawling)
- Analysis and visualizing methods (e.g. text mining, data science, machine learning methods)
- Evaluation and improvement of the quality of both digital behavioral data and analysis methods (e.g. on the basis of the TED-On Framework and the ValiTex Framework)
